Quick verdict
The role decides the winner.
Choose EMO when you want a walking desktop character whose movement, face recognition, games, and spontaneous behavior make it feel active in one dedicated space. Choose AIBI Pocket when portability, a much smaller footprint, a documented offline-command subset, and voice-and-camera utilities matter more than independent walking.
Choose EMO if
- You want a robot that walks, explores a bounded desk, and turns toward interaction
- A more physical desktop character matters more than portability
- You are comfortable paying more and maintaining clear space around a moving robot
Choose AIBI Pocket if
- You want a companion small enough to move between a desk and a wearable pocket
- Offline commands, quick photos, reminders, notes, and voice utilities fit your routine
- You prefer turning and expressive animation to a robot that walks around the surface

Decision analysis
The body makes this an easier decision than the feature lists suggest.
EMO's signature feature is independent desktop movement. It walks, dances, turns toward sound, and creates the impression of a small character occupying its own patch of desk. That experience needs clear, stable space and more attention to edges, charging, and where the robot is allowed to roam.
AIBI is built around compactness. It turns and animates on its base, then moves with its owner in a wearable pocket instead of walking under its own power. If the robot needs to travel between rooms, a desk, and a bag, AIBI's physical design is the more relevant advantage.
AIBI documents offline commands clearly, but neither robot is an unlimited assistant.
LivingAI marks the AIBI voice commands that work in offline mode and separates them from online weather, chat, update, and other connected behavior. The same catalog documents ChatGPT-connected answers for more complex questions. That makes AIBI easier to evaluate when network dependence is a concern.
Treat both products as character robots with defined commands and services, not as open-ended replacements for a phone, smart speaker, computer controller, or home-automation hub. The useful comparison is which supported interactions you will repeat, not which marketing phrase sounds most intelligent.
EMO wins on active desk presence; AIBI wins on portability.
EMO costs $30 more at current standard-package prices and has the more animated physical presence. Its documented battery runtime, specification sheet, and optional automatic Home Station also make the hardware tradeoffs easier to quantify.
AIBI costs less and includes its current pocket-charging arrangement, but LivingAI does not publish a conventional first-party specification sheet with battery runtime on the pages reviewed. Choose it for the portable format and documented command set, not for an unsupported runtime assumption.
