ClearInset / For Eilik ↗
ClearInset is a proposed clear face film for Eilik, designed to stop short of the curved outer rim. A split backing and peel-away tabs would help you place it a section at a time.

Sound familiar?
If you have struggled to settle a film around Eilik’s curved face, you may prefer a smaller protector with an honest boundary. ClearInset focuses on the central area and leaves the outer rim uncovered.
Line up the film while most adhesive is still covered. Set the first section, peel the remaining backing, then remove the handling layer. Nothing wraps around the head.
Would this help your setup? →Designed with your day in mind
Three design goals for an optional surface layer without wrapping every edge.
A smaller footprint is designed to avoid the most curved outer area.
Split backing keeps most adhesive covered while you establish the first position.
Peel-away tabs leave only a thin film. No clamp or permanent frame is planned.
Picture the routine
Here is how the proposed design would fit into your day.
With Eilik switched off, align using the peel-away handling tabs.
Release the backing in two stages and lay the film gently, following tested instructions when available.
Remove the handling layer. The central film stays; the outer rim remains uncovered.

Want to explore the evidence or build something like this?
Read the Eilik product idea report ↗That is the design trade-off: avoid asking a flat film to follow the most curved outer area. Testing must show that the smaller footprint helps while preserving the full expression window. The exposed rim can still be scratched.
That is the intended use, rather than stacking films. A removal and cleaning method must first be verified for Eilik’s actual face finish. No solvent, heat or scraping method is specified here.
The first version targets one measured standard Eilik face revision, with Blue and Pink units checked separately. No fit is promised for Eiliko or other robots. Compatibility with fitted accessories also needs checking.
No such performance is established. This is a sacrificial surface-film concept. Clarity, adhesion, removal, wear and normal operation need physical tests before a sale.
That may be the better choice if it already fits well for you. ClearInset proposes fewer films and less coverage in exchange for a controlled fitting method. We need to establish that the difference is worth choosing.
